Best Practices for Ideal Shade Matching
- Include the shade tab in the same optical focal plane edge-to-edge with the adjacent natural tooth.
- Take at least 1 photo showing the preparation stump shade (ND1–ND9) for all-ceramic restorations.
- Avoid direct flash glare over the incisal edge by angling the camera 45 degrees.
- Provide a full-face natural resting smile photo for anterior multi-unit cases.
